Perfume can cause metal coatings to erode, discolour your jewellery and possibly make it lose its sheen.
Remove jewellery before sleeping
We’d always recommend that you avoid sleeping in any jewellery, whether it’s a necklace, bracelet, earrings or rings. Wearing jewellery whilst you are sleeping can weaken it and possibly cause risk to it breaking, whether that’s a delicate chain or a pendant. You may even lose an earring in your bedsheets or hair whilst sleeping.
Avoid showering and bathing wearing jewellery
As easy as it is to forget to remove jewellery before you hop in the shower, we’d always recommend you do so. Showering and bathing with jewellery can affect the quality of your jewellery. It can reduce the shine, tarnish the metals or even wear the jewellery down, especially if it’s gold plated. Harsh chemicals in shower gels can also cause further damage to your beloved pieces.
Clean your jewellery with a soft, clean cloth
We’d always recommend using a soft, clean cloth when cleaning your jewellery. Using harsh chemicals can damage and erode the metals, and a rough cloth can also cause unwanted scratches. A soft cloth is perfect and can help buffer and add shine to your beautiful statement pieces.
Store your jewellery in a jewellery box
