Are Sophie Allport ironing board covers available in different sizes?
Our ironing board covers are available in one size, measuring 130cm x 52cm - this will fit all boards up to 125cm x 46cm. Our ironing board covers feature a front tie drawstring, allowing a perfect fit as it is pulled tight around your board. There is also a 6mm foam padding, allowing for dry ironing and steaming.
Are Sophie Allport ironing board covers washable?
Our ironing boards can be hand washed only. We recommend that you do not bleach, dry clean, or tumble dry your ironing board cover. To hand wash your ironing board cover follow our quick guide below:
1. Remove your cover from the ironing board frame.
2. Wet a sponge with lukewarm water and apply a mild washing detergent.
3. Thoroughly clean your cover, and wipe until there is no detergent left on the fabric.
4. Finally, hang to dry.
5. You can iron the outer fabric at a high temperature to remove any creases.
How long do ironing board covers last?
Ironing board covers should last a couple of years, but it also depends on how much you use it. On average, if you iron once a week, your ironing board cover should last around 3 years before it needs to be replaced. We like to change our ironing board cover each season, offering a fresh update to the utility room. Our Sheep cover is perfect for spring, whilst we swap between Dragonfly and Bees in summer and our Woodland ironing board cover is perfect autumn.
